Location refers to a specific place within a plant, floor, or a chamber where the Assets are installed.
Locations serve to split Assets in logical groups within an Inspection.
Watch the how-to video below for or read the article to learn how Locations work within Azenzus Inspection App.
https://youtu.be/CRBwJppSxdA?si=CXcvMtAJYp_wya9D❶ Select an Inspection from the list at the top of the main page.
❷ The list of Locations opens automatically in both Inspection Manager / Inspection App.
Location resides under Inspection in our data structure.
There shall be at least one and, most likely, there will be multiple Locations within a single Inspection.
List of Locations can be represented as a worksheet in an Excel spreadsheet, and the Properties as the column headers in that worksheet.
Each Location inside an Inspection can have an individual set of properties.
Properties identify a Location and provide unique information about it, such as External Id, Name, and GPS Coordinates.
Properties can be arranged in “groups” for structuring the data. For example, there can be a group named Address with such properties: Name, Street, House number, Postal code.
These properties will be then rendered on your screen as a block with Address in Title field.
The mandatory properties for each Location are:
External ID
Name
An example of the other custom properties can be added, such as:
Name
Street
House number

It is a good practice to capture photos of a Location during the inspection, as it may later serve as additional verification source for Location data/confirms inspection of the correct Location. The suggested list of photos that shall be taken for every Location is:
general picture of a Location
picture of the tag/identification plate (if any)
additional pictures of the infrastructure related to the Location (pipes, cables, insulation, switches, etc.).
